When installing Hogue RUBBER grips on a DS or other post 66 short frames, does the stock pin need to be removed.

As I recall...No.
I know Hogue rubber grips were made to install on Pythons without removing the pin so I assume they did the "D" frames the same way.

Hey Sae, I think they DO have to be removed. I have done some research and somewhere I read they are like some of the other revolvers mentioned in the instruction sheet, but the D frame is not listed. I have looked and looked. The 48000's are the only ones listed for the post 66 d frame...so

I know the wooden Hogues require pin removal, so I though the rubbers were the same. Glad someone reads my threads!!!

I have a set on my 72 DS. The pin is not removed. Those 1 peice rubber grips, the pin must be removed.
