This holster isn't in my possession so I can't post more or better images at this time.
The seller says it is for the pocket hammerless and also says there are no maker marks on it, just a serviceable holster.
What are your thoughts about where it was made, general quality or is it a "cheapo".
...and he's asking $35.
Thanks!

Typically that snap type is seen only on gunleather before 1940 (WWII). It has the aesthetics of being saddler-made vs a name brand. When a saddler-made holster has no maker's mark it was for resale by another company typically mail order.

Consider that auto holsters of that period always exposed the trigger; or almost always anyway. It should be common knowledge by now that the 1911 and the S&W N frame fit the same holster right down to the safety strap! So by all means try both in your new holster and the rough alignment of that back panel (behind the trigger guard area) will tell you which is the more likely.

Same Myres holster, both pistols, but it was made for the N frame revolver shown:

Thanks Red. I'm a novice when it comes to leather so opinions and advice of knowledgeable folks here is most appreciated .
I double checked with the seller and it was a toy 1911(smaller version) in the holster.
I told him I'm a buyer. I'll post again when I get it with a pistol in it

If it fit well.... I'd be all over it for mine.

I carried my 1903 quite a little bit in belt and shoulder holsters as well as custom pockets in jackets and so I'm just a bit nuts for well-fitted carry options. But still - $35 clams? I'd buy it on spec for the craftsmanship exhibited and since it's worn.... someone was happy with it!
