Hi

I just bought a used Colt Python, but I don't know how old it is. Can any of you tell me the approximate date of manufacture from the serial number?
The serial number is: T6350X

The front sight (ramp type) on my revolver is pinned on with 2 pins. When I look at pictures of pythons on the internet, they only use one pin for the front sight. Is the sights on my revolver reworked or is it something Colt have made? Will OEM front sights fit this revolver or do they have to be reworked?

Looks like it's probably around 1987 or so.

Colt first made the Pythons with a double pin system and later switched to a single pin.
If you change the barrel, keep this in mind as the barrel threads are different from the early & later years.
Don't worry, it probably has not been altered.
If changing the site, just specify that you have the 2 pin style when ordering parts.
