I was in Germany 83 to 87 and about 86 the Army started to consolidate the Rod and Gun Club's into the Club system. What it meant to us at Grafenhower was we lost the snack bar. I was told to eat at one of the clubs. They did have a patch but I never got one.

Nice patches. Thanks for showing them off. Now I can add to my documentation another time that the patches were in use. Yours is the first Naples patch I've seen but then again I've only been researching and collecting for a little over a year now. I've seen the Naples design on what looked like a wine pitcher. FT Belvoir had a small rod & gun club, down at the basin. My company did some work on the pistol range there the second time I was stationed there, ca 1972-73. I will look for a patch, but don't remember one.

Documenting and collecting US military rod & gun clubs ONLY in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Since these clubs were recreational and their patches and pins were not worn on uniforms most insignia collectors do not care about them.
