Just picked up a S&W 38 Airlight and am trying to determine the date of manufacture. I don't have the S&W book that will tell me the date so I thought I'd embarrass myself and ask the forum members.
Serial number is CTV 4779.
Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.....

CET prefix for 2000. CVT would be after 2000. I would guess 2005.

Pretty good guess, my SCSW shows CTA as 2004.
