Does anyone have experience with this gun? I already shoot the SA XDs 45 and love it but I'm wanting another small 45 to have around the house.

I had a similar dilemma and went with Colt Officers ACP.

The Defender is a nice compact pistol IMO. I've had two different ones and the second one was bought new. It was suprising accurrate for a small gun. Being a LWT alloy receiver is a plus and it makes a good carry piece. Unfortunately I had to part with mine, but if I could I would buy a 9mm Defender and get Bar Sto to make a .38 Super barrel for it.

I have Colt's Night Defender, done for Talo Inc. I'm always amazed at how accurate the short-barreled gun is. It is also a pleasure to shoot. The one you're looking at looks pretty nice.

Make sure you "dont" get a defender with the duck bill grip safety, get the upswept g/s. Also the funky rubber grips stink. Jmo
