That is an interesting pile of 4 3/4" big bore SAAs.
I see you found one of Old-Colts boxes. I hear he has these stacked to the rafters at his place

How many beans are there in the jar? How much money are we looking at?
I'm drooling! ;)
Very interesting picture.....look how fairly uniform the finish is on each of them...in my area that kind of gun will bring $2400 unless it has a special shipping location.
Looks like the bottom of my closet ....LOL I wish ....Larry
I would have died and gone to heaven if they were blackpowder framed with eagle grips made before 1889!

The grips - Would you call them hard rubber or plastic? I kinda like the looks of those older black rubber/plastic? grips, but I like the older plain walnut grips the best. I guess the older plain walnut grips are quite hard to find. I assume the plain walnut grips/stocks the most rare.
I wonder if anyone ever posted SAA grip generation photos like we have here on the Python?

Perhaps a slight exaggeration!

Those are all hard rubber grips and the single actions all appear to have the spring loaded cylinder pin catches which should place them in the approx 1896 year range to 1911 year range judging on the small profile front sights.

Old-Colts has posted a picture somewhere along the way on this forum of the progression of the hard rubber grip.

Not from me it wouldn't!

I thought that looked like something I'd seen before. It's the cover of Jim Supica's spring 2006 auction catalog when he was still operating as Old Town Station.

Perhaps this is the one you are thinking about?

Thanks for a great screensaver (it's up now!) that will make my wife roll her eyes.
If you can't own that many it sure is fun to look at'em!
