I\'m new here and have a question re: King Cobra

I had a 6" King Cobra back in the late 80s and regret selling it. Bought a 4" last week and I'm wondering how I can find out when it was made. I assume it's an earlier one as the cylinder is recessed. Anyone know if Colt can tell me or if there is another source for serial numbers?

Thanks.

This Forum is a pretty good source. List the serial number. You can X out the last couple numbers if you want. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You can call Colt customer service. They list the phone # on their website. They won't tell you anything else. If you want more info about that specific gun, you'll have go get a letter. It's expensive (around $75.00) and takes about 4 - 6 months.
