I\'m retired! ... kind of.
I lost my job of 23 years 2 days ago (4-4) due to "an indefinite plant-wide layoff" and I live in perhaps the most depressed job market state in the US, Montana. Very scary situation to be unemployed at the ripe old age of 45 with no documented marketable skills. I worked as a journeyman pipefitter in an ASARCO lead smelter here but they never bothered to certify us as such and journeyman certification through the state requires "4 years experience under a master" or somesuch language.
Welcome to WalMart, can I get you a cart?
