Another post hereabouts recently prompted me to show this. Pardon me if I've posted this previously, but then, you can't get too much of a fine Colt.



This is a Colt .357 Magnum SAA. The rear sight is from a Smith & Wesson, front sight is from Ruger, backstrap is 1851 Colt Navy, walnut grips my home made stuff.

How did you remove the Colt front ramp sight before installing the Ruger ramp?

How did you remove the Colt front ramp sight before installing the Ruger ramp?

This wash a Single Action Army, so there was no ramp, only a blade. I didn't do the work, but assumed that since the Ruger sight was silver soldered, it was removed by torching.
