My firsth real gun was a colt m1911 pre a1, you know small sights, small safety lever,no cut near the trigger, long trigger, etc.
With some money I reblue it put a videky, had a trigger job and start shhoting the old mexican army course of fire (Tiro Mexicano de Defensa), I lear to shoot a handgun as it must tobe one hand or strong hand, since that I had several m1911a1 patter guns but sadly I had to sold them cause have one of these guns in .45 a´cp caliber is not posible but only the army or navy men can own them.

This was my fisrth and true love, I was 20 or around, this baby fits my hand like no other gun, it pointed like no other and plus it had a lot of punch even with ball ammo.

I really miss my 1911 guns, the last one was a National Match of around 1957-58, very reech deep blue, very tight and was gorgoreus, but having it sold it last year.

The federal law of firearms/ammo/explosives is very hard and represive here in Mexico, so I have to make up my mind and understand that never again I will have a m1911 cal.45 acp.

My current guns are .22 lr handguns and rifles a german wlether ppks in .380 acp and a couple of snubies in .38 spl.

Best Regards

45automatic man:mexican citizens can only posses (legally) in Mexico:

a) Handguns.-semiautomatcs in calibers not above .380 acp, revolvers in calibers not above .38 spl.
Forget about 9 mm, .38 super, .357 magie,.44,.45 etc. these are restricted calibers for army and navy use only.

b).-rifles.-only target, hunting or sporting ones.-forget asault tipe rifles no matter they are .22 lr.

c).-Shotguns any but barrels not below 24".

Best Regards.

Always a pleasure talking with you .
Your government is doing the same as ours . They can't control the bad guys so they make more laws against us good guys .
Too bad you can't handle that 1911 anymore .
You said you had to sell yours last year . Who would buy it if only the military can own it ? They already have guns . Are the rich people still able to own what they want because they can bribe the officials ?
Thanks

Weird but all my m1911a1 colt pistols .45 acp were registered at the army but the last one.
So my pistols were owned by law I sold them to shooter felons the last m1911a1 I sold it to an exarmy man.
