Does the markings of the INS underneath the left grip put any extra value on a Python?I have a 4" blue Python with these markings.I assume they are the Imigration and Naturalization Service.

Sorry, it's not an Immigration and Naturalization Service pistol.

"INS" is a common inspectors stamp found on most 1960's and some 70's Colt mid-frame DA revolvers.

I seen Fugate Firearms has one listed that way. I e-mailed him and told him a few of my Colts are marked the same way, and it is not for the INS, just an inspection stamp. I think he still has it listed as such. His guns are sooo high, but nice.
