Like I said, to each their own. I would replace them, others would keep them. I do not know the owner of the gun but I am sure he will do what he wants to do. In my opinion if he does what he wants it was the right decision.

I'm not saying their are not worse out there, they just do not work for me. I do not have a professional eye, nor am I an expert in any section of the firearm field. I may be wrong to 99% of the population but can only give my opinion. I do not take it as argumentative Bud, and maybe I am a nitpicker. Heck I am sure most of you could find fault with anything I own if you are looking for it. I can tell you that none of my saa's have grips with gaps like that, but I do not have any with stag either.

Not to be argumentative but I think you should go and take a look at the photos of that gun on GunBroker. I've made a ton of grips in my day and I've seen a lot worse than that fitting.

They just look to have been on that Colt for a long time and have shrunk a little as all bone does eventually.
