That cylinder is very sharp edged and might be a Christy. Speaking of he old Christy Gun Works, my wife wants to go to this antique mall I told her about. It's in the building that was Christy Gun Works. There's a long shooting range underground but no one is allowed down there.

This gun really resembles that matched pair of Elmer Keith stag gripped .44 Specials John Taffin wrote about. I think he traded these with holsters to a guy for a double rifle for his first trip to Africa. Sure reminds me of the gun posted.
