Awesome looking! At least they salvaged the frame. Yet it reminds me of the old ax story: "Take good care of this ax son, it was your great great grandfathers. The handle has been replaced 3 times and the head once".

It is a fine looking gun for sure. I know it was a parts gun to start with but I just am not motivated by refinished guns mo matter how nice unless it was done by Colt. I realize this is my own personal point of view and that many folks like a fresh looking gun. I just like them honest as they have aged.

It all depends on price. Great looking gun, but no historical significance as an artifact. And it is a legal antique, making purchase easy for most people, and simplifies future trading or selling. I would pay $3K+ for a gun like that.

Kinda hard to call that restored in my mind . Rebuilt , yes . Restored to me uses correct original parts . It is a beautiful gun and would be fun to shoot but I'd rather spend my money on something else if I'm gonna shell out big dollars .
