A couple of week ago i picked up a london shipped saa in 450 boxer sn # 387** shipped to london dec31 1877.that came with the origional bullet mould, marked 450 (B).
I uploaded the picture's for member's to have a look and comment.
Now i have discovered according to Keith Cochron colt peacemaker british model, that i may have something special.
In his book he note's 13 only shipped with the barrel address length of 2.5" in 45boxer. and the earliest one recorded is number #46958. I measured mine and thought it fell into that length, but on closer inspection it has the . after london and is infact 2 5/8" in length.
He goes on to say an unusual length is found on #76236 which has a 2 5/8" address length and may be one of a kind with no known predecdssor.

Please chime in with your comments, thanks.

WOW! The way your holding the ruler though, it looks a lot closer to a 2 1/2" address to my old eyes.

I think according to the book, its the dot. after london which makes it 2 5/8", and measureing from dot to the start of C thats the measurement. unless im reading wrong the dot after london is what highlights this anomoly.

I'll take your word for it. You have it in your hands and I don't. That's cool and makes it even rarer. Since yours is a different serial number range it would really be rare if it was a 2 1/2" with the dot! Maybe he didn't see one of those before he passed away.

Yes for the 450boxer having 2.5" the number is 13 and for the 450 eley the number is 2166. but neither of my others have the dot after london, and this one is 8000 under the lowest number known for the standard 2.5", Either way its either one of 13 or one of a kind. wish cochron was still around to see this one.

sorry, yes he does the most common encountered is 3 1/4"
