It\'s a keeper!

Well, my new Dick Spl really impressed my at the range yesterday. I tried it on a falling plates course all DA and it just ran smoothly and pointed naturally from plate to plate. The trigger was sweet for that kind of shooting. Cleaned the row of steel most of the time. After that I decided to shootSA at a gong 50 yds away. I was getting about 2 hits for every cylinderful. The gun had no malfunctions and it was more accurate than my other snubbie, a DAO S&W 442. Money VERY well spent. Thanks Colt!

Re: It\'s a keeper!

Dick Specials have always been a class act. It's a shame Colt gave up on them. Hopefully one day they will return. I'm still searching for another 3 incher to replace the one I foolishly let get away from me.
Glad you are enjoying yours.

Nice shooting! Tell me more about your DS. Is it the new model? Have you shot the older models without the cylinder rod shroud and higher front sight? Over?
quote:
Originally posted by SnWnMe:

Re: It\'s a keeper!

RCW: It has a shrouded ej. rod. I asked around abt the birthday but I guess my gun is too recent to show on references. Serial is 856XXX. This is my first Colt wheelgun. I have handled them in shops before but never fired. This one does not seem to "stack" as much as the ones I have tried. Then again, it has been awhile.
