I\'ve got a better range than you, nyah, nyah, nyah
Just moved into the "upper house" last October and I'm now about 1 1/2 miles from the nearest neighbor. This place has a daylight basement and I've got the start of a great 100 yard range about 8 steps from the basement door. Thought I'd build a block room right onto the house where there's now an unused carport, but the kids proposed bedrooms are directly above it..... bad idea as it's only a matter of time til someone has an AD and puts one through the ceiling of the shooting room..... Maybe I could pour a concrete ceiling?? Any ideas? What would essentially bulletproof a ceiling and yet not propose much of a richochet danger? How 'bout a ceiling made of long railroad switch ties?
