Opinions on these grips? They came on a Colt National Match shipped to a Detroit sporting goods store in 1939. Lew Sanderson was on the Detroit Police Pistol team at the time and lived in the area. The 1941 picture is of a Detroit Police team member Holding what appears to be a Colt NM with similar grips.

I see nothing that would lead me to believe these were not Lew Sanderson stocks. Looks like they were cut off at the bottom to me. Lew's stocks always had a number stamped on the back like yours. Wood and checkering style are also correct.
