Lewis Leather on Sunset Blvd in LA was a favorite of the LAPD for plainclothes and off-duty carry when revolvers were still mandated. I have a couple...top is for a favorite 5" S&W M&P .38. Bottom has a 3" S&W 36 Chief inside. Both are cross-draw lefties. Post your Lewis holsters.

I remember that style well having owned a similar one (can't remember if it was Lewis Leather or not). Thanks for the look back.

I really like how they had the Cylinder shape sculpted in the Leather.

Looks like a beautifully made Holster.

I maybe have a Lewis Shoulder Holster, where the location for the Cylinder is 'open' ( instead of being sculpted to conform )...but it is packed away and not handy to review.

Never wore one but worked with Officers that did. Great plainclothes set up. Be a nice driving holster also. I'm a lefty so finding one is rare. Looks like they were expensive to make.

My boss used to carry a 2.5" Python in one.

You can recognize the direct linage to the "Dirty Harry" shoulder holster made by other makers.
Both used the same curved wire retention design, with the Dirty Harry having cutout's for the cylinder.

The stitching on the Lewis is unusually crude for a commercial holster.
