Looking for a Hunting Vest

999 Views 5 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Matchlock
Well dove season is rapidly approaching and squirrel season is about to heat up and my older-than-I-am hunting vest has finally completely disintegrated. I'm having a H*ll of a time finding one like it. Most all the ones I can find only have a few loops on them and they're inside the pockets. I like my shells more accessible than that.

Does anybody know where I can find one like the old RedHead ones with the rows of shell holders on the front?

Thanks, Eley

Id try ebay
+1 on checking eBay. One would think not but they are there. A time for a good selection is closer to Halloween. People sell hunting clothing..hunting jackets and hunting vests for costumes and the selection is quite good.... Who would have guessed !

I replaced a 25 year old upland coat and vest last year and ended up with a Pella strap vest and an LL Bean Gore-Tex jacket. I didn't see many vests with external loops during my search. I really like the strap vest as it has a space for hydration pack for the dog and easy front load game bag and I can carry two boxes of shells in the pockets. The support belt and strap adjustments let me adjust the load I'm carrying which makes a lot of difference on those long walks in South Dakota. Pella is an American company. Good luck and good hunting!
GO to the BASS PRO website.for all of the REDHEAD sporting clothings....lol
I guess this is a bit late but I was over at the NRA WebSite just now ordering a vest and I see a few hunting type vests there.

Have a look and see if there's something there you can use.

I hope so anyway, and good luck and I hope you get something.
