good evening , how much more value do i place on a colt new service shooting master with a low serial number #197 as offical production started at approx 333,000 and mine is 333,197, jst interested , many thanks rob

In Bob Murphys book on "Colt New Service Revolvers"(1985 by Gun Report) Shooting Master Production began at #328,00,in 1931. He cites 2 examples,328,164 and 328,185. And sitting right in front of the computer is #328,2xx,in .38 Special,with an extra .357 mag cylinder & yoke(fitted later). Unless the gun in question is a rarer caliber Shooting Master,such as .44 Special,there wont be much of a "premium",if any. Bud
