OK guys, I replace the plastic trigger in my 1991 with an aluminum one. Followed ALL the instructions gleaned from the web and the 1911 website. If you combine ALL of the instruction on dis-assembly and re-assembly of a 1911, regardless of whether it's a Series 70 or Series 80, there are still things they don't show you or tell you. So, if anyone dis-assembles a Series 80 and has problems with re-assembly, ask me. I'm now the expert. I don't want you to go through what I went through.

What about the supplemental sear spring & depressor used in NM triggers?

Just the M1991A1, Series 80. I think mine is an older one 'cause it's Parkerized. Man, I was about to throw it across the room. But then, a miracle occurred.

Wait until that tiny depressor piece falls out of your NM & you're left with that sinking, "Where did that come from?" feeling.
