Having a senior moment and was wondering if someone can show me what the mark on a Colt New Service in 357 Magnum cylinder would look like? If I recall this was to designate that heat treatment was performed to protect for higher pressures. Also if someone can provide cylinder dimensions that would help. Thanks, Jim

Great Thank You, was this star used only on the 357 Magnum chambering for the New Service or was this mark made on the SAA cylinders in 357 Magnum also?

The star was on the cylinders of some WWII Commandos but what would meaning of that be on a .38 Special revolver?
