There are so many good holster makers to be found in the 'Leather Forum' over at www.cascity.com that it isn't funny.
Figure out exactly what sort of rig you need - traditional Old West or 'B-Movie Cowboy' - then go shopping.
'Old West Reproductions' and 'El Paso Saddlery' are but two - and if you're looking at something resembling a rig from the Frontier Era, remember that they weren't all-matching nor wet-fitted - they were bought at hardware stores and through mail order houses, and were mostly a shade of brown - black dye covered a myriad of sins, including poor quality leather, and what 'color' they got was from the exposure to the elements, and what 'fitting' happened during river crossings and rain storms - their length was for the 5.5" and 7.5" revolvers, as the shorter 4.75" is but .5" shorter, so it wasn't an issue.
