I have seen a couple of the British purchase London 1851's for sale with mismatch numbers. While I can understand how this can happen with military arms, is it common with the British martial 1851's?
One can only imagine that British soldiers cleaned their revolvers in the same way as their American counterparts, with little consideration for 21st century collectors.
