I have a few MkIII guns (Lawman, Trooper, OP), and just noticed what seems to be a set screw behinf the trigger; not in the frame, but in the trigger assembly itself. Anyone know what this is for?

From what you describe, it sounds like a trigger stop screw to prevent overtravel.

It is a trigger stop screw.

This screw really isn't intended for owner adjustment, being properly adjusted at the factory, and Loctited in place.

The danger is, attempting to adjust it for even less over-travel will cause internal action problems and a heavier trigger pull.

Best advice: Leave it alone, it was never intended for post-factory adjustment.

I have no intention of fooling with it. Just hadn't noticed them before, and wondered what they were. Thanks for the info.
