Colt I E Factory Service Grips Python Official Police Trooper Army Special | eBay

Auction today: You are bidding on a striking set of Colt Factory Service Grips with Gold Medallions These grips were manufactured in Italy. We rate them as eBay; New Other, NRA; Very Good to Excellent Condition. Colt did have custom shop “fancy wood grips” made in India and later, in Italy. These grips are the "orange wood look,” a special wood used in Colt Limited Production Ranges, since 1878. Simply put, Orange Wood is the fine-grained wood of an orange tree; used in intricate woodwork The Gold Colt Medallions set off the visual balance of our revolver nicely. Colt did make Factory Service Grips in their Custom Shop. However, most of them were carved Ivory, pearl or pearl inlay.

Seller states right in his description that the stocks are MANUFACTURED IN ITALY! Seller is not misrepresenting the stocks as original USA Colt stocks, so why flame the seller?

I went to check it out..( images are not available now, unless something's up with my computer.)
I agree with Collects that he pretty much never said they are original... except he should have not used the words "FACTORY ORIGINAL" in his discription at the beginning, although in his description ... is full of the Bull except the horns.. proves that he is not selling them as original, but as replacement grips.

hmm, well he states that colt did once make grips in italy and that these are from italy, he never actually says these were made by or for colt, just that like the ones from colt he refers to, these were also made in italy.
Also calls them factory original, which I guess he means they are in the original condition they left the factory.

Not sure what a "factorty service grip" is, but that is what he thinks he is selling.

So technically, is the seller being correct in his statement, yes. He is playing with words and trying to be misleading, but he isn't actually stating anything false.
