Picked up a nice Mustang. Put about 30 rounds thru it and it ran flawlessly. This is my first semi-auto and it will be a CCW piece when and if we ever get licensed here in Illinois. I really dont care for the plastic guide rod and trigger. Who makes high quality replacements and if I do swap them out is there a chance that I will screw up the operation of this gun ? It really runs perfect so I can live with the plastic if replacing them adversely affects operation in any way. The safety lever could stand to be a little wider too but dont know if nickel would be available aftermarket. Thoughts ?

I just replaced my plastic Mustang guide rod with one of Steve Bedair's metal ones. Had it out to the range yesterday and still works perfectly with dead on aim.
