I have these two old knives that did not have sheaths. I had the leather and a few tools acquired from somewhere so decided to make them. The first project was for a Mexican knife and I tried to make the sheath look old and used. I still rub it now and then with dirty hands to put some "use" on it.

The second project was for an unmarked spear point. I really didn't know how to age it to look old so just finished it out as shown.

I enjoyed working with the leather, especially since I had a goal. It was fun, rewarding and gave my idle hands something to do. Thanks for looking.

I have a 4 hole punch that establishes the thread pattern. Then I drilled each punch mark with a size a little smaller than the eye of my needle. The thread is something I had, probably a stranded synthetic, fairly large diameter. It took work to get it through the needle eye. Thanks.
