U.S.Model 1836 Pistol manufactured by R Johnson 1841, 54 caliber. I had been looking for one of these to go with my percussion Model 1842. This one popped up at a very reasonable price so I jumped on it. Probably is shootable, the flint does throw a good spark. I do stray from Colts occasionally.

Nice! I'm jealous. I have a weakness for big ole' flint or percussion single shots. I've never broken the ice and purchased an original--just reproductions.

Cheers

Nice!!

I also have been yearning for a US Flint Lock "Horse Pistol" for years now.

Looks like you found a very nice condition one there.

Looking forward to the "Range Report"!
