Was lucky to find this last month before I went on vacation at my local gun store. It's the 1st year they made this in .22 LR. It came with Franzite target grips which, although functional, covered up the pretty prancing Pony. Thanks to user dback13, I have obtained the original type stocks and installed them today!

I had a really nice one from 1940 and sold it awhile back...so I remedied the situation with another, post-war version. It's been back to Colt for a "tune-up" (clean and retime) and I added some Roper-style stocks by Keith Brown. A superb shooter (and nice to look at, too). It's pictured below the OP HB.
