If the 4 "areas of interest"(?), I guess a rosy way of saying non original features or deviations from original, were easily changed before sending to Kopec the gun would have even met with more approval from Kopec. I imagine a lot of guns are "fixed up" and made "original" before being submitted for an authentication, and the value considerably raised.

The guns still functions. It just has a hair trigger and no contact with the safety notch. The sear appears worn down, but my great uncle could have stoned it down to lighten the trigger pull at some time. Wouldn't surprise me if he fanned it a bit. He used to shoot a lot of competition rifle and was always fooling around with guns.

When we used to shoot it in the late 60's we used smokeless powder loads. Uh-huh, smokeless. Probably 25 to 30 rounds through it. Then put away.
