This is my new Colt Defender Lightweight. It is a 3 inch .45 ACP concealed carry gun. I took it for a spin today and tried three different loads in it. It shoots a little low at close quarters, so I used some Kentucky windage and aimed high. Started getting some good shot groups. I ran 100 rounds through it and no FTF's or stovepipes. I did get a few rounds in the forehead, oh well. I felt the wrath in my arm afterwards, it is small and packs a punch. It is very light to carry, 24 ounces. It fits in all of my ready made holsters. I already have a 1911 with no rail. I was happy to add 7 + 1 in the barrel. I am very happy with purchase

I can echo everyone else here. The short little .45 is amazingly accurate out to common sense yardage and feeds all of my factory and hand loads without so much as a hiccup. Another very confidence-inspiring Colt!
You hit the nail on the head Tony. Some people expect 5 inch results from a 3 inch barrel. I have a big Kimber Tactical HD for that.

I always great better accuracy from my Glock 29 vs the larger Glock 20 and the same for the Glock 27 vs the larger Glock 23 for some reason.
In the slow moving .45 I would rather have the longer Commander barrel/slide and Officer frame in the Gunsite CCO.
