Something about those 50's guns! Mine have distinctly better actions than the later ones.

this is a 1957 colt 3-5-7. very smooth action as well.

chaosrob Good Lookin Python. I like the 50's Pythons with the full checkered grips(stocks) the best. I have always thought of them as the cream of the crop. Are those the silver medallions or are they the gold ones but the gold finish just wore off? They look like the silver ones from the pics. I have a '59 and it has the silver medallions.

Thank you Capstan, and I agree, the early ones are nice. They were gold once upon a time but are now only partially so. They are very well worn stocks
