PLEASE HELP!

OK Colt Guys. Tell Me about my newest find. Colt Blue Government Enhanced Model 9x23. SN# FR193XXE Model-01923E Its Brand New In Correct Matching Box.

I can figure out allot of Colts prefix for the serial numbers? Like DG for my Delta Gold Cup. TC for my Tactical Commander. But what the HECK is FR???????

I have only see the magazines for sale on G.B. I have NEVER seen the actual gun.

How rare? How Odd? Whats it worth 99+++% Cond with correct factory matching Box- papers-factory cable lock-slide protector-everything complete!

I know several "Custom Makers" have been building 1911's in the 9x23, (Nothing New) But I haven't ever seen a Factory Colt In 9x23?

Please tell me more about the 9X23 Cal.? Where did it come from? I had seen a Older Euro Automatic Pistol in the 9x23 years ago, I think? MAYBE? Is it A Euro Cal.?

I have A Colt Government in Euro 45HP. I know alittle about the 45HP cal. But NOTHING about a 9x23?


It's odd for sure, but is this Colt rare?

How many made? About when? I need any info you guys can dig up!

I'm guessing it was made for sale in a country that prohibits civilian ownership of guns chambered in military calibers, so some place like Italy would be a good guess.

I do belive that Colt made some 9x23's for sale in the U.S. but I'm not certain. Dane Burns has some good info on the 9x23 cartridge on his webste: http://www.burnscustom.com/ Scroll down near the bottom of the left column and there is a link called "All about the 9x23."
