Today I was finally able to pay-off and pick up my Colt Army Special. It was made in 1923, serial #491XXX and has a 4" barrel; chambering is .38 Special. It is in excellent condition inside and out and I'm pleased as punch to add it to my growing Colt collection. Now to get it to the range and see what she'll do!

Looks real nice!

Be sure to Oil it up good! Who knows how long it has sat without any fresh lube!
I gave it a good cleaning when I got it home and when I took off the grips I was gratified to see that the serial number had been scratched on the inside of both panels. I don't know that they have been off in years. The gun was in as good a shape inside as out. It is now ready for a range session; I'm hoping as early as Thursday!
