Today, Colt shows. Classic Cobra (38SPL) on their website. polished cylinder, medallion wood grip, brass bead front sight. Would this have the "smooth, "Colt" trigger action I have known and come to love for 60 years?
For myself there is a clear choice and that’s for what I truly believe the gun is intended. That is double action shooting almost exclusively on B26/27 targets out to 10 yards. I prefer the new action. On the older colt D frames, once the double action trigger pull got below 12 lbs., I might start getting ammo sensitivity in double action firing. The new cobra is rated at 8 lbs. DA pull. You would be surprised how accurate one can be shooting DA with a trigger pull like that.
