Hi everyone my names Joe im from RI im a landscaper, I have several guns. only 1 colt though which I know a little about but not much. its a 1888 colt lightning large frame chambered for .40-60-260 its in very very good condition(if anyone could educate me as to how much this is worth and the history of it that would be awesome but im going to make another post about that with pics) I have various other guns for hunting and well like everyone else JUST TO SHOOT :) I look forward to the site and conversing with you all, God bless.

Welcome from another Rhode Islander.
Large frame lightning's are quite valuable, especially in unusual calibers.
Do a search of the long gun section of the forum. "The Book Of Colt Firearms" and "Colt An American Legend" are some reference books that might have some info.
