No, the Colt .22 single actions always had aluminum trigger guard assemblies.

Colt made a variety of .22 single action pistols from 1958 through 1986.

These had aluminum frames in the early versions, and steel in the later models, but the grip frame or trigger guard was always aluminum.

I can't remember, but I think some steel models did have aluminum ejector rod housings.

The Peacemaker .22 had a case hardened steel frame and they made those with .22 WMR cylinders. I don't know about the grip frame or triggerguard though.

I have a Colt New frontier 22 22mag convertable 1975. When I put a magnet to the barrel or frame or cylinder there is a strong attraction--steel.When I put it to the grip backstrap frame theres none and the ejector housing theres a weak attraction.I thought the gun was suppose to be all steel?
