Hey everyone,
I am new to this sight and I have just purchased my first Colt AR (it is the LE6920-R......Trooper). I’m really excited as I have always wanted a Colt and now own one :))). I couldn’t help but to notice that the serial number begins with CR instead of LE so I am a little confused. Is this normal for Colt?? Any help would be appreciated.

Colt changes prefixes for any number of reasons. Since there's no reason for law enforcement marked rifles anymore as during the dark years of the "assault weapons" ban, there's no reason for rifles to be marked "LE". It could also be receivers supplied by certain vendors have specific prefixes so for quality control or warranty reasons Colt can instantly tell the supplier. It could be Colt decided a new line of rifles gets its own prefix...or just cause they could.

BTW...welcome!
