New Member - Can\'t wait to share...NOW WITH PICS!!

Howdy.

I just found your forum. Looks like a good one. I found it by searching for info on my new 1903, however, looks like it will be a good source of info on my Series 80, XSE, WWI vintage 1911, .38 revolver...and yes...the 1903.

I'll get pics posted as soon as I get all the Colts in one place at one time...

Glad to be here..

Hey Brocklanders,

Welcome to the Forum. Glad to see you join.

Looks like you have fine Colt handguns. I've got some Colt oldies such as a WWI vintage 1911 and some .38 revolvers. I'd be interested to see your stuff. A 1903 is among several Colts on my short list of acquisitions. Now if I can only find the money.

Re: New Member - Can\'t wait to share my collection.

Thank you for the warm welcome!!

Well.....here's my collection. Nothing compared to what I've seen on other threads here...But it's a good start none-the-less...

The Whole Fam Damily

My Favorite Colt Shooter So Far...The XSE Commander..It Just FEELS Right..

I Inherited This One. Don't Know Much About It.....

I Bought This One Before I Knew That The BIG Letters On The Side Were Not Desirable.....And That It Had A Plastic Trigger.....But It's Still A Colt...

Inherited This One Too. It Had Plastic Grips Which I replaced With "More Correct" Wood Grips. I Shot It Once....And Then Noticed That The Front Sight Blade Was Now Missing. Leave It To Me To Destroy The Value Of A Beautiful Old Piece Like This...Oh Well...Still A Nice Old Shooter..

The Lil' 1903 That Led Me Here...

Looks like a large healthy family to me.

Plenty of .45 goodness abounds.

They should have done a better job with those front sights on the 1911's. I've owned and fired one similar to yours for many years. I've probably fired 6000 rounds through it. A couple of months ago the sight disappeared on it as well.

Is the nickel-plated DA Colt a .41? I've sorta wished to play with a .41.

I need to add an example of the Model 1903 to the collection.

No... It's a .38.

Not sure if it is a commercial model or what. Someone told me it was a "Navy dress pistol"...but I don't know if such an animal even exists...Sounded like made up stuff to me..
