I am a new member, but I have browsed the board for a number of months. I have acquired a few Colt revolvers and have some questions regarding their history. I mainly shoot S&W's.

I'm also new, since my dad brought his 1911A1 home from WW2, he stayed in the army after the war and retired a Colonel after 32 years, I inherited his .45 and have been in love with the 1911A1 design ever since, owning some Colts and some clones.

If it was good enough for Sgt. York and John Moses Browning designed it, its fine enough for my needs for sure.
