I am a new member, but I have browsed the board for a number of months. I have acquired a few Colt revolvers and have some questions regarding their history. I mainly shoot S&W's.

I'm also new, since my dad brought his 1911A1 home from WW2, he stayed in the army after the war and retired a Colonel after 32 years, I inherited his .45 and have been in love with the 1911A1 design ever since, owning some Colts and some clones.
