I have a New Police model, .32 cal., made in 1897, first production year. It has a broken bolt spring which is a leaf spring rather vs a coil spring. I am in search of a new spring or may need to get one made. I've checked all the well-known Colt parts companies and online sites with no success thus far. Would anyone happen to know a source I might try? The other thing I am looking for is a parts schematic for the New Police. All the online diagrams I've found are for the Police Positive and other but not the New Police that was manufactured from 1897 to 1908. Thanks in advance.

The Colt New Police was essentially the same gun as the Colt New Pocket, except with a longer square butt. Perhaps widening the search to include the New Pocket will yield better results.

That spring is easy to make yourself.
Get a broken mainspring from an alarm clock, cut the tiny piece needed save the balance ( good for about a 1000 little springs)
or keep in your 'loose parts' box.
