New Python upgrades

Monday I will be installing these Wilson sights and Badger grips on a 4.25” Heffron-tuned Python. It’s a fabulous shooting gun and this will upgrade it even more.

I’m sold on those changes. I’m going to do it to all my pythons and anacondas
The rear WC sight is a must on the new Pythons and Anacondas. For the front sight, I purchased both the red and green WC fiber optic sights. But I think I still like the Colt orange ramp.

I may order the WC patridge with gold bead and see how I like that.

For anyone interested Brownells has Colt Cobra/King Cobra/Python tritium from sights back in stock and cheaper prices than they used to...$66.99 when they used to be $75.00.

Do those sights work with the stock rear or Wilson Combat sights? I think the tritium and fiber optic sights are a bit shorter in height. And if I recall, I think there was another post with someone reporting that they could not lower the rear sight enough to match the POI with the POA.

Can't speak to lining up right with Wilson Combat sights. They're described as Cobra/Python front sights.
Those are the same as Marble front sights and they are 0.140 inches in height. The stock orange ramps are 0.180 in height. WC front sights are also 0.180 in height. I think that the tritium front sight is also 0.140 height.

So I can definitely see how some people depending on what load they are using could run out of rear adjustment.

I wonder why those Python sights on Brownell's which say are from Colt don't match the factory front sight height.

I had the Colt tritium front sight before I got the WC rear sight. The Colt tritium front sight is too short for the WC rear sight, so I reverted to the Colt red ramp.
Even with the OEM Colt rear sight, with the Colt tritium front sight installed I had to bottom out the rear sight to get an acceptable elevation solution with 125/135gr magnum loads.
Very nice package !!
I am sure he never gets tired of hearing that 😁

Colt tritium sights
Unfortunately these are absolutely NOT the correct front height for the Python, they are far too short and cannot be regulated for a combat hold with any .38spl or .357 load on the Python either with the OEM Colt rear sight or the WC rear sight.

I'm sure they're fine on a Cobra, but they have never been correct on a Python. I am surprised and disappointed that Brownells still advertises them as such, having been informed numerous times by several customers including myself back in 2021.
