DSCN0613.JPG I found a nice set of grips on eBay and they came in right away. I posted a picture in the New Service picture area. The problem was they turned out to be plastic and I could not get them to stay tight. I sent them back and got a different pair, but the same thing happened. So I was lucky enough to find an original set of Pachmayr Signiture grips C Army Large on eBay. Not as good looking but far more functional.

I did it because I could not get the lanyerd ring pin out. Cutting out the hole required cutting the aluminum insert that is in the grips.

Yep, I have the same on my 7 1/2” 45 NS. Really tames the recoil of a full load when I bench rest it for 100-200 yard shooting. I cut out a small square on the bottom for the loop.

Besides the small square, I cut a narrow channel for the loop itself. On mine at least the rubber was thicker than the space between the bottom of the grips and ring.
