Here is a question for those of you with detailed knowledge! What was the thread on the head end of the ejector rod on a 1900 New Service? I have a 4 1/2" NS in .455 Eley and the ejector rod head is missing. I am going to make a replacement head, but have to fit it onto the rod. The threaded end of the rod is very short, and I live in a metric country, so identifying the thread form is not a simple matter.

Thanks
Peter

You might try asking this in the GunSmithing section. You might get a quicker response.

Thanks A1A. However, the early NS had several different heads, partially depending on the calibre. The one I need has no knurling and is longer than the one for such things as 45 Colt. I have a picture, but not on this lap top. The chances of anyone having the correct item must be virtually zero!
