Howdy folks,
My interest in Colts began as a kid with my first Peacemaker capgun over 40 years ago.In the early 80's,I picked up a real Colt from a local pawn shop.It was a 1st gen SAA 41 Colt, cut down from 7 1/2" to 5 1/2",.No trace of original finish and out-of-time. A gunsmith replaced the worn out internals, installed a new cylinder bushing and I was in business. 41 Colt loads I soon found out, were pricey and rare. That first Colt taught me the invaluable lesson of research prior to acquisition!
My stable now holds a Series 70 Gold Cup and a Colt 1903. Looking forward to reading your posts and learning from the seasoned veterans.
