Several pre/post SAAs were sold to Herb Glass in the 1960s. Someone posted the internal letter from Colt here a while back, it listed the serial numbers. Colt also sent Glass for free SAA #0002SA and Python #2, that is listed in the same letter. Obviously Herb Glass was an important guy at Colt at that time.

Sept 7, 1948 so it’s a for sure pre/post war!

That's a few days over 2 months before my birthday. What a fantastic birth year gun that would be to put next to my 1948 Government Model. Only problem I can see is I can't afford the asking prices of these Pre/Post SAAs. (smile)
