Nice 32/20 Official Police \"find\".
Found a very nice, probably 97%,finish 1930 vintage O.Police 6" in 32/20 today. Was able to buy it for under $250. No box etc. but gun shows little use,and good storage. What sold me on it was the "T" stamped in the crane recess over the serial #. This was marked if a gun was factory targeted,by adjusting the barrel to hit to put of aim. Those not targeted have an "L",for lined up by turning an "eyeballing" the front & rear sights for alignment. A little bit of minutia, maybe, but I find my fixed sighted Colt's from this era, with the "T" do shoot better. Had turned down a couple of similiar guns, with the boxes and paper in the $450-500 range,as I am mostly a shooter/reloader.Dealer had the gun priced low as 32/20s,according to him,are not popular! This will replace a 1920's vintage Army Special in my "32/20 battery",which I will sell to a collector. Bud
